As an experienced property developer in the Newcastle area, I have a passion for creating beautiful homes that people love to live in and are proud to call their home for years to come.
For more than a decade I've created small scale residential property developments in Newcastle, NSW, with the help of my highly talented and trusted team of consultants, contractors and real estate agents.
I source property in desirable locations, visualise its potential, and follow through with it by designing and constructing high end homes. Projects I manage typically include the purchase of residential property with subdivision potential in one of Newcastle’s suburbs, renovation or knockdown of the existing house, subdivision of the block of land, and the development of either an additional house or set of two to six townhouses on the subdivided land.
With its thriving job market, ongoing investment in infrastructure, government plans to build additional transport links including the fast rail between Sydney and Newcastle, plus amazing lifestyle attractions, Newcastle pretty much has everything the big cities like Sydney and Melbourne have on offer but at a fraction of the price and an ever increasing demand.
Purchasing my first property at age 21, I have since bought, renovated, developed and sold over thirty homes, in and around Newcastle. In addition, my 15 year career in civil engineering has given me the experience to manage development aspects of large scale construction projects (valued up to $100 million) and the ability to manage teams of 20 to 30 people.
Residential property development may have smaller budgets, but certainly requires just as much drive, passion and adherence to process. As a Newcastle specialist I’m well-versed in local council requirements, and know the market intimately. I’m also able to influence a broad spectrum of consultants, agents and builders to produce profits from development projects in a time-efficient manner.
Challenges are my forte, and I’m in my element when there's a problem to be solved. As issues arise (which are part and parcel with property development) I think quickly and creatively to find a solution. Meticulous by nature, I pre-empt and mitigate risks, yet remain flexible and adapt quickly.

Seneca Property is a property investment advisory, buyers agency and property development consultancy located in Newcastle NSW. It was born out of Jarrad’s passion and success developing residential property.
